The second-generation V-Max replaced the original 1985 design with a much larger 1679 cc V4 and fuel injection, while keeping the muscle-cruiser stance and the shaft drive. It moved to an aluminium frame, radial six-piston front brakes and a slipper clutch, making it far more composed than its predecessor. It stayed in the range until 2020.
